Florida Animal Laws was formed to help fight legislation
in Florida, that negatively affects all animals and their owners. 

As the Florida legislature is getting ready to start up, we need to gear up and be ready to fight more bad animal legislation that has already been, or will be proposed this year.  So far, bills have been proposed in the Senate and House of Representatives to overturn Florida's ban on BSL (Breed Specific Legislation). 

So far, I am only aware of two negative animal bills have been filed in this most recent session of the Florida House and Florida Senate.  Be assured, more will be filed.  Please visit our Florida Page to learn more.  Below is information on the bills that have been introduced.

HB 543 was filed in the Florida House of Representatives and identical bill SB 1276 has been filed in the Senate.  These bills seek to overturn the Florida statute that prohibits BSL (Breed Specific Legislation). 

Animal Rights groups are really trying to get a foothold in Florida.  We need all the help we can get to fight these types of restrictive animal legislation.
