About Us
We are pet owners and show
exhibitors, rescue workers and shelter volunteers, farmers and
cattlemen, hunters and anglers and trappers, hobby and commercial
breeders, and anyone else you can think of with a professional or
personal interest in animals. Some of us are old friends, and some
of us only recently met in connection with Volusia County's proposed
mandatory spay and castrate law.
Yet, despite our inherent
differences, we are as one mind on the subject of our liberties to
enjoy and use our animals as we see fit within accepted and legal
humane guidelines. We are as one mind on our status as animal
owners and our animals as our property, legal concepts that preclude
the right of the state or any private enterprise to take over our
animals and dictate how our animals ought to be managed.
We invite you to join us,
